What is ProMod?
ProMod is a configuration for Left 4 Dead 2 built for Confogl with the purpose of making competitive play more balanced and interesting. It's the most recent set of changes from an evolving set of ideas put forth from other configs such as Fresh and Metafogl, as well as the community.
What's changed?
Below are all the changes made for a 4v4 ProMod match. //!match promod
General changes:
Most all of the changes in Confogl 2.2.2 listed here
Several exploit/glitch fixes in Tabun's exploit package listed here
Health:Survivors automatically receive pills upon leaving saferoom
Pills found outside saferoom reduced to 4
Pills slowly heal over a period of 2.5 seconds
Adrenaline removed
Weapons:Uzi restricted to 3
Magnum restricted to 1
Hunting rifle restricted to 0
Items:Items at the end of long maps removed to prevent useless pill spawns
No throwables (Molotov/Pipe/Bile)
No cans (Gas/Propane/Oxygen/Fireworks)
Special infected:Special Infected spawn timers set to 18 seconds
Special Infected (except Tank) can't deal friendly fire damage
Special Infected (except Tank) slowdown by gunfire removed
Shoves don't kill Special Infected
Godframes for Smoker/Jockey removed (spit godframes lowered from 2 to 1 second)
Hittables always hit with or without godframes
Hittables always deal 100 damage to incapped or non-incapped survivors
Ghost footsteps are silent
No Spitter during Tank
No spit damage in Hard Rain elevator
Jockeys always make a sound when spawning
Jockey recharge after ledge hang increased to 10 seconds
Heatseeking Charger during Tank spawn bug fixed
Boomer pops on exactly 4 shoves instead of a randomly chosen 4-5
Hunters unable to pounce while being damaged bug fixed
Imbalanced Tank spawning locations blocked
Tank/Witch spawning position percentage announced
Tank refills rage bar once and announces to chat instead of passing
Players won't get Tank more than once in a campaign until all players have played it
Tanks no longer damage themselves with hittables
Map items invisible to Special Infected to prevent pre-survivor item scouting
Maps edited to include additional LOS objects to spawn behind and balancing placements
Infected flow warping among survivors as ghosts
Bunny Hopping disabled for Tank only
Common infected:No natural hordes
Common Infected outside saferoom removed
Uncommon Common Infected removed (except mudmen)
Survivor:Two shoves allowed until fatigue begins
Double-getup, no-getup, and self clear getup bugs fixed
Downed survivors show more accurate temporary health values
Non-boomed survivors won't be pushed by horde running for boomed survivors
Round balancing:Alarmed car selection remains the same for each team
L4D1 vscripts removed since valve broke them completely
Statistics:Tank damage announcement on death or round end
Survivor MVP stats at the end of a round

The ProMod package contains other configs than just the standard 4v4 competitive setup. All configs share by default the changes of the latest ProMod above, but with additional changes below.
ProMod HR //

A match for 8 players. Additional changes include:
- Hunting rifle restricted to 1
- Hunting rifle clipsize decreased to 10
- Hunting rifle damage to Tank decreased to 75
- Static sniper spawns on Parish 2
- Tank slowdown removed
Parity //

A match for 8 players. Additional changes include:
- Damage bonus scoring system
- Survivors automatically receive health kits upon leaving saferoom
- First aid kits give temporary health
- First aid kits can't reset downs or black and white
3v3 ProMod //

- Hunter, Jockey, Charger, and Smoker
- Tank health set to 4500
- Uzi restricted to 2
- Bunny hopping allowed
- Special Infected spawn timers set to 13 seconds
- Reduced common infected numbers
- Pills found outside saferoom reduced to 1 (except 3 on finales)
2v2 ProMod //

- Special Infected spawn timers set to 11 seconds
- Reduced common infected numbers

1v1 ProMod //

- Hunter and Jockey
- Tanks completely removed
- Bunny hopping allowed
- Special Infected incaps do 33 damage then instantly die
- Special Infected scratches do 0 damage
- Special Infected spawn timers set to 4 seconds
- Shove fatigue starts at maximum level
- Reduced common infected numbers
- Pills outside saferoom removed (except 1 on finales)
1v1 Deadman //

A match for 2 players. Additional changes include:
- Hunter only
- Tank health set to 2000
- Tank grace period increased to 35 seconds
- Tank dies instead of passing to AI
- Distance points frozen when Tank is alive
- Bunny hopping allowed
- Special Infected incaps do 33 damage then instantly die
- Special Infected scratches do 0 damage
- Special Infected spawn timers set to 4 seconds
- Shove fatigue starts at maximum level
- Reduced common infected numbers
- Pills outside saferoom removed (except 1 on finales)
Hunters //

Retro //

- 3 Hunters, 1 Smoker, and 1 Boomer
- Quadcaps possible with normal sac order rules
- Shotgun max ammo increased to 128
- Uzi max ammo reduced to 480
- Chrome Shotgun replaced with Pump Shotgun
- Silenced Uzi replaced with Uzi
- Pump Shotgun buffed in accuracy, damage, and spread
- Uzi unrestricted
- Melee weapons removed
- Magnums replaced with pistols
- Bunny hopping allowed
- Water slowdown removed
- Boomer scratches do 2 damage
- Special Infected spawn timers set to 17 seconds
- Pills outside saferoom removed (except 4 on finales)
